Residency programs are post-professional programs designed to enhance clinical skills and decision-making in a specialty area of physical therapy.  A residency candidate must be a licensed physical therapist in the state in which the program is located.  A fellowship program is different, and its focus is to advance practice in a sub specialty area primarily after specialization.

Pennsylvania has many accredited residency/fellowships!  To find out more about possible residency programs, we encourage interested applicants to contact the residency's program director to learn more.  Each program is different and offers varying experiences – it is important to match your learning style and interests with an appropriate program!  Click on the following link to reach a list of programs in Pennsylvania: Residency and Fellowship Programs in Pennsylvania
