Request for Contact Hour and PPTA Continuing Education Approval

DISTRICTS MUST PROVIDE THE CHAPTER OFFICE WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION 120 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE (OR 30 DAYS PRIOR FOR 1-2 HOUR DISTRICT MEETING CONTINUING EDUCATION)

The Chapter will review the proposal for both Contact Hour approval and for PPTA support. This proposal will be then referenced with those already scheduled to determine if there may be a conflict, and the chair of the Conference and Continuing Education Committee will notify the component representative of the number of general and evaluative contact hours for which the seminar will be approved.  If there is a conflict, the district representative will be notified within 5 business days and suggestions for alternative dates or topics will be made as appropriate. Please note that as Pennsylvania has very specific Contact Hour requirements we also need a course schedule that indicates how much time will be devoted to each area to be covered for the presentation.
